About Me
Jamie Charity, MSEd, LPCC-S
I am passionate about creating a safe relationship for clients to share their stories. I enjoy assisting clients in developing coping strategies to manage symptoms and develop distress tolerance. I specialize in working with women that struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, attachment and relationship issues. I have a special interest in working with new mothers and mothers of young children.
I graduated from Ohio University in 2008 with a BS in Child and Family Studies. I completed my MSEd in Clinical Counseling from The University of Dayton in 2011. I'm proudly certified in EMDR Therapy.
Research supports that the therapeutic relationship is the biggest indicator of change in therapy. I strive to attune to the needs of my clients in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.
